Meet Our Title 1 Teachers:
Ms. Duffy:
My name is Ms. Duffy, and I am the Title 1 reading teacher for K2. This is my 13th year at LFDCS, my first year as the Title 1 reading teacher. Before this, I was a K1/K2 teacher. I enjoy seeing the amazing progress the young learners make. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my 2 little boys, Tyler (4) and Ryder (1). We love going on little adventures together, especially to the beach.
In our K2 Title 1 groups, we are focusing on letter identification and letter sounds, as well as blending and segmenting words. Additionally, we are working on building our vocabulary. Our end goal is to close any existing gaps and build a strong foundation to help each child become strong and confident readers and writers.
Ms. Lawler:
Ms. Lawler is a Title 1 Reading Teacher for Grades 1 & 2.
Ms. Thom:
Ms. Thom is a Title 1 Reading/ELA Teacher for Grades 3 & 4.
Ms. Ursu:
My name is Heather Ursu, and I am the Title 1 Math Teacher at LFDCS. I have been teaching for over ten years in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover, including five years in T1 Math. I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Merrimack College, and I have two students of my own. I completely understand your wishes of success for your child, and I look forward to supporting them on their math journey!
